I-95 BRI Project - PENNDOT
Rehabilitation of Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange ramps, including 58 spans.  Many of them are curved-girder structures.  Their design and seismic evaluation are performed using in-house developed programs and 3-D finite element methods.

 

I-95 Restoration (RES) Project - PENNDOT
Overall management of bridge inspection activities and as-inspected
ratings for the entire project team on this project, consisting of the rehabilitation of six bridges, two viaducts, and two affected bridges along I-95 through Philadelphia, PA.  Also provided seismic design, ultrasonic/magnetic particle testing, concrete coring and testing, strain gaging, and load testing as well as fatigue testing consultation to the prime consultant on complex viaduct structures.  The tasks also included partial reconstruction design of Allegheny Avenue and Bleigh Avenue Bridges for reconstruction of Westmoreland and State Road Viaducts, respectively.

 

SR3019, Section PDB, Passyunk Ave. Bascule Bridge  

- PENNDOT, 6-0

Structural, mechanical and electrical rehabilitation of the Passyunk Avenue (Bascule) Bridge over the Schuylkill River in the City of Philadelphia.  

 

I-95 CAS Project - PENNDOT, 6-0

Design of one of the two ramps connecting the Commodore Barry Bridge to the Chester City Water Front Area. The total length of the ramp is about 1000', consisting of a number of curved girder spans.

 

 

South Street Bridge No. 11B Replacement  (Click here to see picture) - City of Philadelphia

Replacement design for the bridge over SEPTA and under CSX tracks.

Existing bridge is a 3-span structure and the new structure will be a 2-span

continuous steel structure.

 

I-76, Section PBP, Schuylkill Expressway (Click here to see picture) - PENNDOT, 6-0

In-depth inspection and rehab design for the main spans over the Schuylkill River and the south approach viaduct, a total of 25 spans.

 

I-276/I-95 Interchange, Section D - PA Turnpike

TS&L design for the New Falls Road Bridge replacement, Ramp C viaduct, and approximately 4,200' of noise walls and 3,900' of retaining walls.

 

Mulberry Street Open Spandrel Arch Bridge Rehabilitation - PENNDOT, 8-0

In-depth Inspection and analyses for this 16-span arch bridge.

 

I-81 Overhead Bridge Preservation - PENNDOT, 8-0

Inspection for 5 bridges and final design for one bridge preservation.

 

SR 1058, Section HAT - PENNDOT, 6-0

Preliminary design for a culvert extension and one single span bridge. Final design for two single span bridges using the PennDOT BRRAD3 program.

 

Community Trail Pedestrian Bridge - Falls Township, PA.

Design of a pedestrian bridge and retaining wall for the community trail.
